A Message from the President

Assalamu Alaikum NUSTIAN family,

I’m Tahir Khattak, a proud MCE graduate from the Class of 2008, and I’m honored to serve as the President of NUSTIAN USA.

As we look ahead, my focus for the next two years will be on strengthening our alumni community, increasing impact, and building deeper trust through transparency and engagement. Here are the key priorities guiding our work:

Empowering NUSTIANs in the USA

We’re increasing our support for alumni here in the U.S.—through mentorship programs, networking opportunities, and our hardship assistance fund.

Enhancing Transparency & Accountability

We’re committed to open communication and will continue publishing detailed fundraising and impact reports, streamlining our operations, and listening to your feedback.

Expanding Scholarships & Endowments

We aim to grow our support for current NUST students through new endowment seats and scholarship initiatives—opening doors for the next generation of leaders.

Deepening Collaboration with NUST

We’re working closely with the University Advancement Office (UAO) to ensure your donations are used effectively and in full alignment with our shared mission.

Strengthening Our Alumni Network

With 1400+ members and 150+ volunteers, we’re building a vibrant, inclusive, and active community where every NUSTIAN feels they belong.

Alhamdulillah, NUSTIAN USA has already helped 350+ students and raised over $5 million—a testament to your generosity and belief in our mission.
